Economic Mobility? Social Mobility?

GM: Yes, people flock into BJ to conduct social exchange

EM: Yes, but to a minor extent. No permanent or long term change in mode of economic exchange

SM: ... Change of social status limited to BJ? Various protests and quarrels overseas had been very much contributing to the continuous mobilization of Social Exchange for overseas students, overseas Chinese and internet users - some politically.

Exchange of social values more between cities (coz of GM), between the literate and the illiterate (??), between the vigorous and the mild (internet), between the open-minded and the close-minded (??), between the globals and the locals (GM).

If suppression of social exchange occurs, social development (social learning) process will be suppressed as well. Values will not be added, then.

************

因此,不同意奧運能為中國短期內的將來帶來巨大經濟收益。原因是,GM雖有開放,但EM的開放少,甚至有suppression。不過,各種失誤所帶來的social exchange(通過討論)可以抵消SM 的壓制。C.M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10020937080260646187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37862247.post-28597322996764330362008-07-11T00:59:00.000+08:002008-07-11T00:59:00.000+08:00Haricot:Oops, sorry! How often do we hear 20/20 hindsight remarks, such as: "I did not understand what it was.", "I wish I had known.", or "How come nobody told me?" With respect to "democracy", the exact definition and characteristics vary from one country to another. For example: The election, judicial and legislation/policy-making processes in the US are very different from those in Canada.

In short, without clarifying the above, how can one conclude that citizens in China do or do not want "democracy"?Haricot 微豆https://www.blogger.com/profile/13735177985545566818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37862247.post-77321797451667188372008-06-11T12:37:00.000+08:002008-06-11T12:37:00.000+08:00Derek, 其實你覺唔覺,好似成個中國,including 香港人,其他省份城市嘅人都唔係好想要'...Derek, 其實你覺唔覺,好似成個中國,including 香港人,其他省份城市嘅人都唔係好想要'民主',佢地只係想要大d嘅自由度,大d嘅透明度,同埋要上訴嘅機制。 Derekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16477171403378850332noreply@blogger.com
